:: Colin Proebstel, Managing Director

Having lived with the Aussies for a long, long time, it was fate that I ran into a very creative fair dinkum bloke in John Madden. Together with our complimentary backgrounds in Technology and Creative, spawned an idea called Spitfire back in 2004. A place where both of these creative areas could blend together with clever and interesting people to deliver new and exciting marketing opportunities and services to business.

Our motto is ALWAYS OUTNUMBERED, NEVER OUTGUNNED.

It doesn't get much better than that to keep you inspired every day.

Hailing from a career in design, advertising and interactive in Melbourne, Australia, John found himself lured to New Zealand to fill the role of Art Director at Wilson & Horton Interactive (now APN News & Media) before moving over to join the the former Walkers Advertising & Interactive as Creative Director Interactive working alongside Colin Proebstel. Amongst a great friendship a winning team was forged and the rest is still in the making.

Questioned about the move to NZ he replies "It's very much like Australia, just less kiwis."

As for Spitfire Creative, "it's everything a creative and interactive agency should be. Creative, clever and experienced."

On April fools day 2004, Managing Director, Colin Proebstel and Creative Director, John Madden started up ‘Spitfire’ from a garage where every new piece of furniture became a milestone. Their passion, skill, experience, sense of fun and commitment to their customers has helped build the company into one of NZ's leading interactive agencies today.
